After breakfast,
the program starts with the worldwide known Egyptian
Museum, with its great collection of works of art. Here,
the Tut-anch-Amun Tomb treasure must also be visited. In
these rooms, one is literally submerged in the gloss of
old Egypt.
The visit leads us then towards the Islamic part of
Cairo. The Citadel with its alabaster Mosque control in
an impressive way the profile of the city. A true
construction of luxury is the Hassan Sultan Mosque.
Certainly, you also will visit the Gizeh Pyramids and
the Sphinx. The evening, you will stroll in the famous
bazaar of Khan El Khalili. Night in the hotel in Cairo. |

Day 3 : |
Cairo -
Bahariya Oasis |

After the
breakfast, we leave in the direction of the desert
towards the Bahariya oasis, also known as the Golden
Mommies Valley. Numerous sources of water make of the
oasis a green island in a sea of sand. We thus discover
the sources of hot water, the palm tree alleys and of
course the exhibition of the famous Golden Mommies.

Day 4 : |
Bahariya
Oasis - White desert |

On the road towards
the Farafra oasis, we discover the Black Desert
(according to the black basalt rock) and the Crystal
Mountain. In our exploration of the White Desert we
admire innumerable limestone formation shaped by the
wind. Overnight in tents in the desert.

Day 5 : |
White desert -
Farafra - Dakhla Oasis |

In the morning,
visit of the native museum and then we proceed towards
the most beautiful oasis of the Western Desert, Dakhla
Oasis. Here we will visit El Qasr and Deir El Hajar, the
‘Monastery of stones’, a temple dated from the Roman
emperors and later occupied by Christian monks.

Day 6 : |
Dakhla
Oasis – Kharga Oasis |

Today our trip
leads us to the ‘Valley of the Pyramids’ and Kharga
Oasis, with an important historical and cultural past.
We will visit the Temple of Hibis, the Temple of Nadura
and the Museum of Kharga. Overnight in a hotel in
Kharga.

Day 7 : |
Kharga
Oasis - Luxor |

Our journey
continues today through the desert in direction to the
Nile. In the afternoon we arrive in Luxor. visit of
Karnak and Luxor temple Overnight in the hotel in Luxor.

After breakfast we
will visit the West bank (Valley of the kings,
Hatshepsut temple, and Colossi of Memnon) Overnight in
Luxor

Day 9 : |
Luxor -
Dahabiya Nile sailing tour starting in Esna |
|
| |
After you've
boarded the Dahabiya and the anchor is lifted the
Dahabiya will glide silently across the Nile. The first
stop is 15km down the Nile at El-Kab. This was once a
glorious city, but is now a city of ruins and rubble and
a reasonably intact city wall. After you've had a chance
to look around, you'll return to the ship and your Nile
sailing tour will continue on to a small island for the
night.

Day 10 : |
Sailing to Edfu -
Horus Temple - Wadi el Shat |

After breakfast
sailing Edfu the ship's crew will throw out the anchor
and you'll visit the best preserved cult temple in
Egypt. The monumental temple of Horus, built in honour
of the God with the falcon's head, is easily as
impressive as the world famous temple of Karnak in
Luxor. After visiting the temple you'll continue on to
the town of Wadi El Shat where you'll walk through the
tropical gardens and countryside. At the end of the day
you'll spend the night on the Dahabiya.

Day 11 : |
Sailing to Kom
Ombo |
|
| |
After breakfast the
Dahabiya will set sail along the Nile again. It's white
sail will snap in the wind until it's found the right
angle and the canvas catches wind. After a while the
ship will moor at the excavation site 'Gebel El Silsila'
and the temple of Pharaoh Horemheb. You can also visit
an ancient stone quarry where colossal stones were cut
out for the temple of Karnak. After lunch on board the
ship you'll sail on to one of the highlights of this
Nile sailing tour, the majestic temples of Haroeris and
Sobek at Kom Ombo. Candles will be lit and you'll have
your own candlelight dinner on an island in the middle
of the Nile... |

Day 12 : |
Daraw - Sailing
to El Koubania |

After breakfast
it's time to hoist the sails and sail towards the town
of Daraw. Stroll through the town's dusty streets that
lead to the colourful and lively souks.
The ship will dock at El Koubania so that you can get to
meet the Nubians and find out more about their way of
life. At the end of the day you'll spend the night in
the Dahabiya |

Aswan - Cairo |

There's only a
short distance left to sail until the ship reaches Aswan
. In the afternoon a pleasant navigation by felucca
around the Elephantine Island. visit of the high Dam and
the Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis Goddess In the
evening, . Transfer to Aswan train station and return by
sleeping train to Cairo. Dining and overnight on board
the train. |
