Program in details
1st Day: Arrive in Cairo
Upon arrival in Cairo our representative will welcome and assist
you. Transfer and night in a hotel.
2nd Day: Cairo excursion program
After breakfast, you will visit the Egyptian Museum. Lunch at a
local restaurant. After lunch, visit the pyramids and the Sphinx.
Night in a hotel in Cairo.
3rd Day: Cairo
Visit of Saqqara in the morning. After lunch, visit the Citadel of
Saladin and walk through the Khan El Khalili bazaar. Night in a
hotel in Cairo.
4th Day: Trip to Alexandria & Wadi Natrun
On the way from Cairo to Alexandria we visit the monastery Surijan,
one of the oldest Christian monasteries in Wadi Natrun. Night in a
hotel in Alexandria.
5th Day: Alexandria - Cairo
Sightseeing in Alexandria, and visiting the Greco-Roman Museum, the
Roman catacombs, the Pompey-pillar and the fort Kait Bey. Return to
Cairo. Night in a hotel.
6th Day: Fayum oasis
Today, our trip goes to oasis Fayum, about 100 km southwest of
Cairo. Visit the nature reserve "Wadi El Rayan" tour of the village
of El Fayoum. Then visit the temple Karanis and the pyramid of
Hauwara and Meidum. Night in a hotel in Fayum.
7th Day: Minya - Beni Hassan
Today we continue to Minya and visit the famous rock tombs of Beni
Hassan. Night in a hotel in Minya.
8th Day: Tell El Amarna
After breakfast drive to Tell el Amarna, the new capital of Echnaton,
trip to Tuna el-Gebel and visit the tomb of Petosiris Temple and the
ruins of Hermopolis. Night in a hotel in Minya.
9th Day: Abydos - Dendera - Luxor
On the way to Luxor we visit the Abydos temple Seti I. Then we
continue to Dendera, the Ptolemaic temple to the love goddess Hathor.
After lunch we reach Luxor. Overnight in a hotel in Luxor.
10th Day: Luxor
After breakfast we visit the impressive Valley of the Kings. In
addition, you will see the impressive terraced temple of Queen
Hatshepsut and the Memnon-columns. After lunch we visit the Temple
of Karnak and Luxor. Overnight in a hotel in Luxor.
Evening - Optional - Visit the sound and light show at the Karnak
Temple.
11st Day: Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan
After breakfast we visit the temple of the sun god Horus in Edfu.
Then continue to Kom Ombo. Here you will visit the impressive Temple
of God Sobek. In the evening we reach Aswan. Night in a hotel in
Aswan.
12nd Day: Aswan
With a boat we will reach the island of Agilkia where we will visit
the Philae Temple of the goddess Isis. Then you will see the Aswan
Dam and the unfinished obelisk. After lunch a romantic ride on a
felucca on the Nile. Night in a hotel in Aswan.
Evening - Optional - sound and light show at the Philae Temple.
13rd Day: Aswan - Abu Simbel
Today you have the choice: Visit the lively souk of Aswan, or take
part to an optional excursion to Abu Simbel. Night in a hotel in
Aswan.
14th Day: Aswan - Luxor - Hurghada
We drive today from Aswan to Hurghada. Night in a hotel in Hurghada.
15th Day: Hurghada - Cairo
Transfer to Cairo. Night in a hotel in Cairo.
16th Day: Final departure from Cairo
Transfer to the airport in Cairo and returning flight.
